We have British Horse Society trained instructors
with combined experience of over 30 years of instruction.
2) Does the facility ensure riders wear approved
equestrian helmets in compliance with the law & recommend that all
riders wear approved helmets?
All riders are required to wear wear approved equestrian helmets
in compliance with all Ontario laws.
3) Does
the facility ensure riders wear proper
footwear or provide safety stirrups as an alternative?
All
riders are required to wear wear proper footware in compliance with all Ontario laws.
4) Does
the facility have a policy regarding ratios of riders to staff?
Golden
Woods has a maximum of 6 riders to 1 instructor and a maximum of 6 riders
per lesson.
5) Does the facility have safety
rules posted in a prominent area?
Golden Woods has barn rules posted in several locations on the property
and all riders are asked to become familiar with them before riding.
6) Are the horses healthy, friendly, appropriately
aged and trained for the level of rider ?
